Simon tells Zoey he loves it and also notes that Jessica got them tickets to the Warriors game to support him. Zoey checks in on Simon on his dad's birthday and says she is there if he needs her. That night, Simon shows up at Zoey's apartment and says that while looking through old emails from his dad, he wondered if he could have stopped his dad's death. Zoey tells Simon that feeling guilty won't help him move forward, and Simon thanks her for being real. She says she feels uncomfortable and will not be going to Simon's engagement party. Simon seems upset but tells Zoey to let him talk to Jessica. When Zoey shows up at the engagement party, Jessica mentions that Simon loved the slideshow which Zoey helped with. After Jessica walks away, Zoey awkwardly greets Simon and says she hopes it's okay that she's at the party. Simon says it's okay and that he hopes they can stay friends. Zoey tells Simon to enjoy his night, and Simon thanks her for everything. When Simon clinks his glass and starts giving a toast to Jessica, she sings "Say My Name" to him. After the toast, Simon interrupts Jessica's confrontation of Zoey and asks what is going on. Simon tries to explain why he was at Zoey's apartment, but Jessica says she'll talk to him later. After Zoey burns the rose wall down, Jessica asks her and Simon if they are sleeping together, and Simon says he was just upset about his dad. Simon and Jessica begin arguing about Simon's dad. After the party has ended, Simon tries making amends with Jessica, but she tells him to clean up and that they can talk later. Simon sweeps up the mess from the burnt rose wall.

Zoey's Extraordinary Confession[]

Simon gets on the elevator, where Zoey and Max are already standing, and stands in silence with them for a bit. He tries making awkward small talk with Max, and then Zoey makes an awkward remark about the burnt roses at the party. When they get off the elevator, Simon pulls aside Zoey to talk and says that he has been leaning on her too much and that they should just go back to being coworkers. Zoey agrees and then leaves. After Zoey comes back from lunch with Max, Simon runs into her and asks her if she is okay. Zoey starts explaining but then reminds him that they're keeping it professional and walks away. At a later time, Simon gets on the elevator followed by Max. Simon notes that Max and Zoey have started hanging out again, and Max asks him if he is keeping tabs. Simon asks Max if he and Zoey were ever a thing and says Zoey is special and should be with a good guy.

Zoey's Extraordinary Glitch[]

Simon runs up to Zoey and tells her that tech bloggers are reaching out to him for comments on the SPRQ Point Watch bug. Zoey asks Simon if he knows Danny Michael Davis, and he explains how Danny got him his job at SPRQ Point after they both snuck out of the same conference. Simon tells Zoey about his new meditation technique and suggests she use it. Later, Simon walks up to Zoey and Max, and Max walks away. Simon asks Zoey how her dad's doctor's appointment went, but she dodges the question. He alerts Zoey that Danny Michael David has arrived and promises to stall him when Zoey panics. Later, Zoey enters the meditation room and finds Simon inside, meditating. He mentions that the meditation room is his new favorite place. Zoey apologizes in advance for whatever is about to come out of her mouth and starts singing “I Want You To Want Me” while getting very close to Simon. After the sing ends, Zoey and Simon find themselves in a compromising position, and Simon looks over to see Max standing in the doorway. Zoey says sorry to Simon and runs after Max. Later, when Zoey walks into Simon's office to explain herself and reveal her feelings, he pulls her in for a kiss. After they pull apart, both Zoey and Simon say they have to go.

Zoey's Extraordinary Silence[]

Zoey asks if she can talk to Simon. He agrees, and they go into his office. Zoey tells Simon she wants to talk about the kiss they shared after she sang "I Want You To Want Me." Simon says that it was a mistake and he got lost in the moment. Zoey insists that it seems like they both wanted it to happen, but Simon says they should not connect like that anymore, though he seems unsure. Later, Simon attends a brunch at Mo's apartment along with Jessica and Eddie, and they get to talking about the wedding. Simon and Jessica beat around the bush when discussing the venue and date, causing tension. When Eddie pulls Jessica into the kitchen, Mo confronts Simon about kissing Zoey. Simon admits his complicated feelings for Zoey but also says he cares about Jessica. Mo tells Simon he needs to figure something out, and Simon looks pained. Later, Zoey enters Simon's office and says that though they have chemistry, she won't continue pining after him. As Zoey leaves, Simon looks a little shaken and sighs. Later, Simon looks at Jessica in bed and turns away. One morning at SPRQ Point, Zoey gets off the elevator to see Jessica and Simon singing a pained duet of "Happier," and leaving together after the song has ended.

Zoey's Extraordinary Outburst[]

Both Zoey and Mo notice after Simon posts a picture on Instagram, noting that he has been fairly unreachable since his supposed split with Jessica. Later, Simon gets off the elevator onto the fourth floor singing "Here I Go Again." He approaches Zoey at her desk and tells her that he broke up with Jessica, asking if she wants to have dinner that night; Zoey agrees. That night, Zoey arrives at Simon's apartment for their date, bringing him a fern. The date starts off normal, but when Simon goes into the kitchen to finish the pasta, Zoey hears him singing a mournful [Mad World|reprise] of "Mad World." After the song ends, Zoey rushes out without much explanation. The next day, Zoey sheepishly approaches Simon in his office and explains why she left. Simon says that his mom told him she was getting remarried that weekend and wanted him to come, and Zoey says he sounds stuck in his grief. Later, Simon knocks on Zoey's apartment door, and she pulls him inside and starts making out with him. Simon nudges Zoey away and tells her to finish her thoughts from earlier, and she finally relents, telling Simon his endless grieving is boring. Zoey and Simon start yelling at each other until Mo interrupts and makes them both dance out their anger to "I Love It" by Icona Pop. Afterwards, the two sit on the couch in Zoey's apartment and talk it out. Zoey apologizes, and Simon empathizes with her grief. Simon decides to go to Las Vegas and attend his mom's wedding.

Zoey's Extraordinary Dad[]

Simon walks up to Zoey and Max while they are in line at the cheesequake place and interrupts their conversation, saying he thought he would surprise Zoey with some cheesequakes. This leads to an awkward encounter between the three before Simon walks off. However, Simon watches Zoey and Max talk from a distance while singing "Jealous." Later, Zoey walks into Simon's office and asks him about his trip. Simon says it was nice to see his mom so happy and that he is feeling better. He also gives Zoey a t-shirt he got during his trip. When Zoey brings it up, Simon admits that he was jealous of her and Max, and Zoey says she appreciates the honesty. That evening, Simon gets a call from Max, who says that Zoey's dad isn't doing well and that he should be there for Zoey. Eventually, Simon drives up to the Clarke home with a lasagna and expresses his condolences to Zoey. Simon sings in "American Pie" during Mitch's wake.

Zoey's Extraordinary Return[]

When Zoey arrives at her first day back at SPRQ Point after Mitch's death, Simon greets her pleasantly. When the rest of the fourth floor sings "Hello, Dolly!" to Zoey, Simon joins in. When Zoey arrives at Mo's apartment after her day at work, Simon is hanging out with Max and Mo, having befriended them in Zoey's absence. Though Simon and Max insist that they do not want to fight over Zoey, they sing a duet of "Are You Gonna Be My Girl," exposing their true feelings. Later, when Simon tries to console Zoey at work, she responds angrily.

Zoey's Extraordinary Distraction[]

Simon walks into Zoey's office and greets her as his boss. Zoey enjoys the revelation that she is Simon's boss and accidentally makes a sexual innuendo. Simon tells Zoey that the new SPRQ Point Watch update is blowing up and shows her a video of a man saying his SPRQ Point Watch is burning his wrist off. Later, when the fourth floor meets with Danny Michael Davis via video chat, Simon suggests that they frame the problem with the SPRQ Point Watch as one of overreach. Impressed by Simon's idea, Danny appoints him as the new PR Spokesperson for SPRQ Point. Simon is surprised by this and notes that his background is in marketing, but enthusiastically accepts. When Simon asks Zoey for the odds that the coders would have a fix for the watch issue, Zoey says she thinks pretty high. However, after seeing Leif perform "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing," Zoey walks back her words to Simon.

Zoey's Extraordinary Dreams[]

Zoey stops in to ask Simon how he's doing. He makes a comment about the watch before noticing how much coffee Zoey is drinking. Zoey confides in Simon about her nightmares, to which he suggests reducing her stress level. The next time Zoey comes by his office, she awkwardly tells Simon that her and Max are together, and he reassures her that he only wants her to be happy. When Zoey and Max are hanging out, Max seems a bit jealous when Zoey mentions that she got advice from Simon at work. Later, Simon walks into SPRQ Point and sees a very exhausted Zoey on one of the swings. They discuss Zoey's bad dreams and her guilt about being unable to talk to Max about them. Simon puts Zoey's recurring nightmare into perspective, suggesting that she cannot get out of her own way. He tells her that the nightmares aren't just going to stop, seeing as her father just died. However, he tries to make her feel better and less alone, and tells her that doing things for herself is a good thing.

Zoey's Extraordinary Employee[]

Simon tells Zoey that he's nervous about his first interview as company spokeperson, which is with well-known journalist Tatiana Morris. Tatiana shows up and they joke a bit about how white SPRQ Point is before she starts her recording. Zoey is at the pudding bar, taking a break from all the firings she's had to do, when an extatic Simon sings "Juice." Simon confirms that the interview went well and listens to Zoey stress about the firings and how she ony has to fire George. Simon brings Tatiana to Mo's karaoke cleanse, and an intoxicated Zoey jokes about the number of drinks she has had, pouring herself another. When Mo drags Zoey home, she drunkenly compliments Simon on the way out. Simon interrupts a hungover Zoey in the meditation room after firing Geroge for the second time. He teases her about their last interaction in the mediatation room. After Zoey vents about her failed attempts at trying to be happy, Simon assures her that she can experience all her emotions at once and that they can help strengthen her over time.

Zoey's Extraordinary Trip[]

Simon and Tatiana talk on the phone about Danny Michael Davis avoiding house arrest when Danny makes a flashy return to SPRQ Point. Danny informs Simon that the Chirp's facial recognition feature is not recognizing people of color and asks him to make a public statement saying a fix is on the way, to which Simon reluctantly agrees. Simon calls Zoey, wanting to confide in her, but in her flustered state, she brushes him off quickly. Simon later asks Mo to meet up with him and Tatiana. The three discuss the lack of people of color at SPRQ Point and Simon's options for how to proceed, either quitting his job or ducking his head and working his way up the corporate ladder. At the press conference, Zoey sees Simon sing "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." Simon begins the press conference by reading off of a piece of paper, but after a few sentences, he puts the paper down and calls out SPRQ Point's own inabilities to recognize Black and brown people, as the company is mostly made up of white men.

Zoey's Extraordinary Reckoning[]

Following his press conference, Simon quickly retreats from the podium. Zoey rushes after him, asking why he didn't tell her about the situation, to which Simon says he tried but that she didn't listen. He leaves her to try to figure out how to deal with the fallout. The next day, Zoey organizes a town hall on the fourth floor in an attempt to try helping. A series of white employees make tone-deaf statements, and Simon does not participate. As the town hall derails, Zoey hears Simon sing "Black Man in a White World," afterwards asking if he has any thoughts, to which he says no. Zoey tries to offer more help, but Simon declines, noting that he is going to meet up with Tatiana. Tobin later says he is there for Simon, but Simon brushes off his jokey demeanor during the town hall. When Zoey tells Simon that the company wants him to retract his statement, he painstakingly articulates his experiences as a Black man and maintains that he will not retract his statement. Later, Simon discusses with Mo whether or not he should quit his job or risk being phased out of having any say at SPRQ Point. When Zoey shows up, Simon tells her he plans on quitting, and much to his surprise, she says she will support his decision. After Zoey and Tobin rush into Danny's office armed with hundreds of tweets from other BIPOC employees at SPRQ Point sharing their experiences, Simon and Danny note that they have been reading the tweets together. Simon shows SPRQ Point's Board of Directors the realities of the racism that many of their employees experience and calls them to action. Later, at MaxiMo, Tatiana reads off SPRQ Point's vow to donate $50 million in to Black-owned startups and make leadership positions equally represented by 2025. Mo toasts to Simon, and though he initially seems hesitant, he joins Mo, Tatiana, and the crowd in a joyful performance of "Tightrope."

Zoey's Extraordinary Memory[]

Zoey invites Simon to join her to see the Leodons meteor shower, but he declines as Tatiana signed him up to speak on an activism and tech panel. Him and Zoey make flirty banter about how fancy his pants are for the event and for Maximos. A tipsy Simon later shows up to the restaurant opening, complimenting Zoey, to which she reciprocates. He makes a heartfelt, pride-filled speech about the restaurant to Max and Mo. Max, Simon, Leif, Tobin, and Mackenzie all join Zoey to go stargazing, despite the meteor shower having passed.

Zoey's Extraordinary Birthday[]

Zoey invites all of the 4th floor to her 30th birthday party. After seeing Max and Rose sing, Zoey talks to Max about their relationship status, telling him that he feelings for Simon have also resurfaced. Simon helped put together a spread of Zoey related food on the food bar. Zoey breaks the news that Zoey is cancelling her party, disappointing her coworkers, leading them all to sing "Don't Leave Me This Way", to which she excitedly throws candy in the air, saying the party is back on. When Simon brings Tatiana to the party, she awkwardly excuses herself and is visibly disappointed when she sees Tatiana sing to Simon during "Kiss Me". As Tatiana leaves, Zoey asks if her and Simon are together. Tatiana says that she is attracted to him but sees that he clearly is into Zoey. Simon and Max stay to help clean up. Simon and Zoey have a moment while everyone leaves the room. David asks if Simon wants to be in a band together, and Simon quickly shuts that idea down. On her actual birthday, Zoey tells Mo that she invited Simon over. When he is over, Simon presents to her a Cheesequake with a candle in it and he sings "Into You" to her, it ending in them kissing.

Zoey's Extraordinary Mystery[]

Simon and Zoey wake up in the same bed, before switching sides and agreeing that opposite sides of the bed was weird. It is revealed that they have been dating for a few weeks. Simon notes that they still need to get to know each other, sharing that he is in an elite woodworking club. When he asks Zoey something he doesn't know about her, she tries to tiptoe around the subject, seeing as she has not told Simon about her powers. She tells him that Mo is taking her to a medium, in hopes of connecting with Mitch. He warns her that his mother has been scammed by someone claiming to be a medium and that they can be grief vampires. She jokes about bringing garlic for protection, to which he playfully hits her with a pillow. He later invites her to come to the woodworking club meeting. Zoey confides in Max, telling him that she's considering telling Simon about her powers. Max warns her that the imbalance in openness that he and her had made their attempt at a relationship really complicated. In attempt to fix her powers, Zoey goes to Simon first, hoping to figure out if his heart song would be switched with Max, who sang "Anyone". She asks how he's feelings to which he breaks out into "The Fox", making Zoey even more confused. At an art exhibit Rose invited her and Mo to, Zoey realizes Rose is struggling to tell Max the fact that she is sober, and cancels on Simon, who masks his disappointment. Mo realizes The Fox song must belong to Perry, who's son couldn't find his fox toy earlier. Zoey goes to the science museum to run into Perry. Simon's song actually belongs to Perry's son, August, who sings, "Love On The Brain" Simon's real song to her. Zoey apologizes to Simon at work, admitting that she has a hard time opening up to people. She lists off some things Simon doesn't know about her. When it seems like she might tell him about the powers, she instead tells him about a past relationship in which she had trouble trusting the guy. Simon gives her a stool he made in his woodworking class, so she can reach the clothes in her closet. Zoey steps up on the stool and he thanks he before they hug.

Zoey's Extraordinary Girls' Night[]

As Zoey's writing in her journal, she hears Simon giving a pep talk, of sorts, over the phone. Zoey asks what it was about and he says, tough love. He explains how since he father's passing, he's become the one to motivate people and give them the advice they need. Zoey asks for advice about Emily and how to give her help, despite her not wanting it. He tells her that people may not want help, but they need it, and to not give up even if they deflect. Simon comes by to surprise Zoey with breakfast, to find Zoey studying books about brain, theorizing that Emily has postpartum depression. Simon advises her to let Emily to come to her, now that she's made an attempt to help. She is adamant on continuing to help, to which he reiterates his point, adding that Zoey should relax and connect with someone she cares about, hinting at himself. When he mentions them having a quiet night in, Zoey gets the idea to get Emily to talk by having a girls' night. He exasperatedly gives up. At Mo's apartment, later that night, Zoey apologizes for bailing on him but asks if he understands, to which he says yes. As soon as Zoey turns to leave he breaks into Tearin' Up My Heart, joined by Max and Mo. Max and Simon unenthusiastically cheer when the sports team they root for is up by 10. Mo senses something's wrong and makes them all do spa routines, getting them to confide. They all voice their grievances about their respective relationships. Simon explains to the other two that he was put on a committee to find diverse members to put on SPRQPoint's board, and how when he isn't spending time doing that, he wants to spend time with Zoey. He asks them if it feels like Zoey has a supernatural power that lets her read other peoples' thoughts. Max and Mo hesitantly and awkwardly say no. Zoey joins Simon at a church service Mo is performing at. He checks how things are going with Emily, also sensing something with Zoey is a little off. During Mo's performance, Simon takes Zoey's hand after she starts crying. She uses his handkerchief to wipe her tears and Simon offers up a pep talk. Zoey opts for a day with her boyfriend, Simon, over coach Simon, mutually deciding to go up to Sausalito.
